Ukraine short of troops, pessimism growing: WP

Post says that the deaths of many of Ukraine's most experienced
soldiers over the past year have hurt the quality of its
military, which was once seen as a big advantage over Russia.
According to WP, this has caused some Ukrainian officials to question whether Kyiv is ready to launch the much-anticipated spring offensive.
According to US and European officials, up to 120,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed or injured since Russia's invasion began early last year, compared to about 200,000 on the Russian side, which has a much larger military and roughly triple the population from which to draw conscripts. Even its most ardent Western supporters are unaware of Ukraine's current casualty toll. (ANSA).
