(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 01 MAR - "In Ljubljana, Minister Tajani
should meet with representatives of the Italian minority in
Slovenia and the Slovenian minority in Italy, which I am honored
to represent in the Senate of the Italian Republic. This meeting
would be an appropriate and meritorious act, both because of the
crucial peacemaking role the minorities played in the salient
historical moments from the end of World War II onward and to
underscore the relevance of an area whose bridging mission is
precisely based on the multilingual nature of our population."
Senator Tatjana Rojc (PD) calls for this in a letter to Foreign
Affairs Minister Antonio Tajani, who will pay an official visit
to Ljubljana on March 17 for talks with Slovenia's Foreign
Minister Tanja Fajon. (ANSA).
