"The European Commission regrets
that the decision" of the Central Bank of Kosovo "was adopted
without prior consultation, given the impact it could have on
the daily lives of Kosovo Serbs and other communities" in the
country, and is "especially concerned about the impact on
schools and hospitals, given the apparent absence of
alternatives at this time," said the spokesperson of the
European Commission, Eric Mamer.
