Today, the European Commission
disbursed not only the fourth installment to Italy but also
installments to other countries, including Germany and Greece,
as part of their respective national recovery and resilience
plans.
Berlin, according to a statement from the EC, received the
first €4 billion installment today, covering 28 milestones and
eight targets. The German NRP will be financed overall with 28
billion euros through grants.
Moreover, the €3.64 billion third tranche (including €1.69
billion in grants and €1.95 billion in loans) has flowed into
Athens' coffers, covering 39 milestones and four targets. The
Greek plan as a whole is worth 35.95 billion, including 18.22
billion in grants and 17.73 billion in loans.
Brussels also gave Portugal its third and fourth combined
payments of €2.46 billion in grants and loans under an NRP worth
€22.2 billion overall. Today, Slovakia received the third 662
million tranche out of the total 6.4 billion plan in grant
funding. At the same time, Bratislava was given the second
installment for 225.91 million in grants and 310.09 million in
loans under a NRP worth 1.61 billion in grants and 1.07 billion
in loans.
