(ANSA) - BELGRADE, DEC 8 - On Thursday, Ukraine imposed new
emergency power cuts as it attempted to repair energy
infrastructure damaged by Russian air strikes, which the
national grid operator said caused significant supply shortages.
The weather made the situation worse. In the west, there was frost, rain, snow, and strong winds that froze the wires. In the east, however, the situation was the worst. (ANSA).
