Migrants: Prisco, in force readmissions with Slovenia
Interior undersecretary, since Nov.28. Minister issued directive

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, DEC 6 - "Minister Piantedosi has addressed
a directive to border police and prefects to reuse the
readmission mechanisms already included by the Italian-Slovenian
agreements'. Italian Interior Undersecretary Emanuele Prisco
announced while holding talks with journalists during his visit
to Trieste today. Prisco pointed out that 'since November 28,
readmissions have been operational' and that they actually "have
remained operational because the agreements are in force and
must be used." Prisco reiterated several times the line of the
Government: 'We welcome those who must be welcomed; those who
must not be welcomed should leave Italy." (ANSA).
