(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 24 - After Adria Airways ceased
operations in 2019, the Slovenian government is expected to make
a decision soon on whether to establish a new national carrier
to help improve the country's connectivity, according to the
specialized portal EX-YU Aviation News. The Minister for
Economic Development and Technology, Matjaz Han, has fully
supported the creation of the country's new flag carrier, the
portal said, quoting Slovenian media. According to the portal,
an expert task force formed by the government to assess the
feasibility of establishing a new flag carrier has completed its
work. Han estimated that the process of establishing the new
airline will take about a year and will require approval from
the European Union. (ANSA).
