Gregorio Paltrinieri on Monday
continued Italy's strong campaign at the world swimming
chamionships in Hungary, taking silver in the 5km open-water
race after winning gold in the 1,500m freestyle in the pool on
Saturday.
The 2016 1,500m Olympic champion come second to Germany's
Florian Welabrock with Ukrainian Mykhailo Romanchuck completing
the podium.
Italian swimmer Giulia Gabbrielleschi took silver in the women's
5km race on Monday too.
At the time of writing Italy was second in the medal table
behind only the United States with 16 medals, including seven
golds.
