(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 9 - La Scala unions on Friday called strike on contract renewal for June 21, spelling the cancellation of that evening's performance of Verdi's Macbeth at the iconic Milanese opera house, sources said.
    The reason is the distance between the management's and the unions' positions on the renewal of the labour contract, hence the decision, after today's meeting with the management, to confirm "either the state of agitation, the suspension of all overtime performances and declare a strike for 21 June 2023 on the performance of Macbeth and/or the second performance for all departments not involved in the performance".
