Italian ballet legend Roberto Bolle's
long-awaited Expo Dubai show 'Roberto Bolle and Friends' will
take place on March 2 at the Italian pavilion at the world's
fair, organizers said Friday.
The gala performance will be a "compendium of some of the most
exciting dance pieces in the classic and contemporary
repertoire, created by Bolle himself to represent Italian
excellence in this important planetary appointment", said the
pavilion.
The show was initially scheduled for January 6 but was put off
after some of the star's troupe tested positive for COVID ahead
of the departure for the United Arab Emirates.
Bolle, 46, from Casale Monferrato near Alessandria in Piedmont,
is currently a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre
and a principal dancer étoile at La Scala Theatre Ballet.
Bolle also dances regularly as a guest artist with the world's
leading companies, including The Royal Ballet, the Mariinsky
Ballet, the Bolshoi Ballet and the Paris Opera Ballet.
