Italian tennis world number 3 said
Friday he feels a different player and a different person from a
year ago after beating Russia's Daniil Medvedev to reach the
Miami Masters 1000 tournament final on Sunday.
"I felt great on the court today, I'm really happy with how it
went," said the South Tyrolean after beating Medvedev 6-1, 6-2
in 69 minutes of play.
"He made a lot of mistakes and I took advantage of them," he
added.
"I expected a very tough match and had he broken me early on it
would have been different.
"We'll see how it goes on Sunday," continued Sinner of the final
against Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov.
Last year Sinner lost to Medvedev in the Miami final 7-5 6-3.
However, on the eve of his second final in the Florida city the
Italian said he now feels "a very different player and a very
different person".
"The night before (the final) I couldn't sleep. Now I handle
these situations better and I hope to play well. If I win,
great. If not I will have other opportunities," said Sinner.
