A 54-year-old Catanian former theatre
actress says she is unable to get a new house to rent in Rome
because landlords refuse her application when they see her
income supplements for her autistic son.
"A wall has gone up in front of me," Rosamaria "Rose" Caputi
told the La Sicilia daily Friday.
"I can't find a home, they won't even give me a home, because
they realize from the income slips I file that some of it comes
from the state aid to my son, who has been diagnosed as on the
autistic spectrum".
Caputi is a widow and the mother of three children.
