(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 29 - Expo Dubai 2020 is gearing to ring in
the New Year amid COVID curbs at a record 29 sites in the
Emirates city where revellers will gather despite expected rain.
These will range from the iconic Burj Khalifa and the Expo
grounds to the panoramic wheel of Ain Dubai, which has just been
unveiled, and the equally iconic 'veil' and Burj Al Arab, as
well as a plethora of other venues, to avoid too-large
gatherings.
Dubai has set itself the goal of outdoing New York's New year's
Eve party in terms of scale, helped by the fact that almost 100%
of the local population is vaccinated and all visitors will have
to show a negative test. (ANSA).
