Two low-cost flights per week

07 December, 16:37
(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 07 DIC - Airline Wizz Air announced a new passenger route between Trieste and Albania's capital, Tirana, from July 3, 2023, and tickets are already available (Wizz Air website and Wizz app), starting at €24.99. The flight will be operated twice a week, Mondays and Fridays, by an Airbus A321neo, among the most sustainable aircraft, with 239 seats.

Trieste becomes Wizz Air's 27th destination in Italy, a market in which it is growing. The airline also offers a Wizz Flex service that guarantees the possibility to cancel or change flights up to 3 hours in advance.

Evelin Jeckel, Wizz Air's Acting Network Officer, pointed out that the route is suitable for "discovering a city with a thousand identities and enjoying the melting pot of culture, art, and architecture, as well as a new travel opportunity for visiting friends and family abroad." Marco Consalvo, managing director of Trieste Airport, pointed out that "Wizz Air is one of Europe's largest low-cost airlines and is ranked first in Eastern European markets" and that "it has never operated at our airport. The new connection with Tirana marks the beginning of an important long-term partnership." The Albanian community has the second-largest number of residents in the FVG region. (ANSA).
