(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEP 18 - German Interior Minister Nancy
Faeser has stated her support for European Commission President
Ursula von der Leyen's proposal to expand air and naval
surveillance of the EU's external borders. "We can not do
anything else because otherwise we will not be able to control
the migration situation," the minister said late yesterday
afternoon on the first public channel Ard, responding to a
question about whether she would like a similar expansion of
surveillance, which is one of the ten points of the EU Action
Plan presented yesterday. (ANSA).
