(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 29 - A joint exercise was recently
held in Divulje, near Split, Croatia, involving Italian,
Slovenian, and Croatian firefighters from the North Adriatic
Maritime Incident Response Group (Namirg). Namirg is a
multinational team made up of men from the command centers of
Trieste, Koper (Slovenia), and Croatian Istria, and it is part
of an EU-funded project between 2018 and 2019 to train a team
specialized in interventions on ships with an onboard fire
emergency. The exercise, which was conducted using a Croatian
military helicopter Mil Mi 8, allowed firefighters involved in
helicopter activities to improve their knowledge and skills
while also strengthening friendship and collaboration between
firefighters from three different countries. (ANSA).
