Confindustria, Italy-Poland trade is worth 32.6 billion
Ranalli, 'Poles study Italian to work in companies'

(ANSA) - KARPACZ, 07 SET - "The trade between Italy and
Poland continues to grow exponentially, having had only a small
fall during the Covid period, to the point that in 2022 we
reached almost 33 bn euros (32.6 bn according to Polish
statistical institute Gus, ed.) of trade more or less on 50% to
and from Poland, with about 2,700 companies active on the
territory employing 100,000 people, and these figures continues
to rise." Reporting the news is the director general of
Confindustria Poland, Alessandro Saglio, who presented the data
during the panel 'Promotion of trade in Eastern and Central
Europe and the possibilities of partnership with Italy' during
the 32nd Karpacz Economic Forum in Poland.
"Confindustria Poland - he added - which among the
international representations of Confindustria Eastern Europe is
the youngest, as it was born four years ago. However, it is also
one of the strongest, not so much as an association because, but
because of what we represent, precisely because of these 33
billion. We try more and more to help and support Italian
companies' integration, considering the geopolitical situation
we are going through. In the past three years, we have published
a 'Country Guide,' a compendium as a support tool, a small
vademecum for companies already here and those who want to
come."
The Chargé d'Affaires for the Italian Embassy in Warsaw,
Laura Ranalli, recalled the history of centuries-old relations
between the two countries, going on to point out that "in
Poland, there are 17 Italian professorships and in 400 schools
where Italian can be studied."
"We have an army of young people, " she pointed out, who also
take on roles of responsibility, love Italy, and aspire to work
with Italy. It is very nice that when we meet with students, we
ask why they study Italian. They tell us that they want to work
with Italian companies that come to invest here to create
bridges and opportunities for integration, also considering the
geopolitical situation we are going through. In the past three
years, we have published a 'Country Guide,' a compendium and a
support tool, a small vademecum for companies already here and
those who want to come."
