(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, MAR 17 - A possible failure of the
negotiations could 'encourage Serbia to use the "argument of
force when it no longer has the strength of the arguments."
Kosovo's premier, Albin Kurti, told ANSA in an interview on the
eve of the high-level meeting level, brokered by the EU's high
representative for foreign policy, Josep Borrell, with the
Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic. Despite Nato's presence in
Kosovo, "it would be irresponsible and imprudent if we ruled
this out," the prime minister warned. The meeting, to be held
tomorrow in Ohrid, northern Macedonia, is part of the framework
of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue. The goal is to reach an
agreement based on the EU proposal to normalize relations
between the two countries. The parties found an initial
understanding in late March, and now the negotiations start on
the implementation annex, an integral part of the deal. (ANSA).
