(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEP 1 - A tour organised by the EU begins
today in Trieste, Italy, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of
the single market and highlight its benefits and advantages,
according to a press release issued by the European Commission
today. Following Trieste (September 1-2, in Piazza della Borsa),
the tour will travel to Hungary, Szeged (September 5), Romania
(Timisoara, September 9 and Brasov from September 9 to 10),
Bulgaria (Brasov, Plovdiv, and Sofia from September 9 to 21),
but will also visit EU countries such as Spain, Portugal, and
France in 2023, with additional destinations planned for next
year. The tour will engage visitors in interactive activities,
stimulating games, and in-depth dialogues to highlight the
significance of Europe's single market, one of the most
significant achievements at the EU level and a true engine of
European integration. The single European market, which was
established on January 1, 1993, allows goods, services, people,
and capital to freely circulate throughout the EU, making
people's lives easier and providing new opportunities for
businesses. "Today more than ever it is an important factor of
Europe's economic resilience during crises," the Commission
recalled. (ANSA).
