Italian cheese exports to Europe set a record
Excellent results also in Germany and Poland

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUL 26 - In the first four months of 2023,
Italian cheese exports increased by 6.4% in volume in Europe and
by 19.3% globally. According to Giovanni Guarneri, coordinator
of the Alleanza delle Cooperative's dairy sector, the two main
dairy categories driving the growth in volume of exports are
fresh cheeses (+10.4%) and grated cheeses (+5.7%), based on the
most recent update of Istat statistical office data. The best
volume changes on the export front to European nations are
recorded for Poland (+23.9%) and Spain (+14.2%). Additionally
encouraging are the data regarding Germany (+9.5). (ANSA).
