(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 25 - Deputy Premier and Transport and
Infrastructure Minister Matteo Salvini on Monday reiterated his
call for the State to hold an amnesty which would allow people
to pay to have small infringements of building regulations and
tax disputes pardoned.
"As regards small construction-rule breaches, which could be
sorted and bring in lots of money to local councils, and small
tax disputes, not big or total tax evaders but small savers,
we'll talk about it with the Economy Minister (Giancarlo
Giorgetti)," League leader Salvini said.
"In my opinion it would be good for the State, which would
pocket revenue, and for millions of citizens who could be more
tranquil".
Opposition parties have criticised the idea, saying such
amnesties encourage people to break the rules. (ANSA).
