Italian municipalities need between
500 and 600 million euros to meet the reception needs of
refugees and migrants arriving in Italy by sea, Prato Mayor and
delegate of the National Association of Italian Municipalities
(ANCI) for Immigration, Matteo Biffoni, said on Sunday.
The estimated needs could grow to one billion euro if the rate
of sea arrivals continues to increase, he added.
