A father and daughter died in a
motorbike crash near Trento in August 2021because of poorly
mounted brakes, experts appointed by prosecutors said Wednesday.
They said one of the bolts on the front brake lever had been
incorrectly mounted and came out of its fitting, causing the
crash.
Prosecutors have placed the owner of the motorbike dealership
where the man had bought the bike just days before the accident
under investigation for multiple culpable manslaughter.
Two mechanics are under investigation on the same charges.
The accident, which happened when the bike veered off the road,
took place on provincial highway 83.
