There have been 12,764 new cases of
COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, and 89 more victims of
the virus, the health ministry said Tuesday.
That compares with 7,975 new cases and 65 more victims Monday.
The currently positive are 194,270, up 4,627 on Monday.
The recovered and discharged are 4,700,449, up 8,041 on Monday.
The case tally since the start of the pandemic is 5,028,547, and
the death toll 133,828.
Some 719,972 more tests have been done, compared to 276,000
Monday.
The positivity rate is down from 2.9% to 1.8%.
Intensive care cases are up 14 to 683 and hospital admissions up
92 to 5,227.
