(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 25 - Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Monday welcomed French President Emmanurl Macron's overture to cooperate with Italy on migrants, saying they will work together.
    "Italy and the government very much appreciated the words of President Macron and your words about cooperation on immigration. For Italy at this moment the flows represent a serious problem. The desire to work together gathers our willingness", Tajani said at a press conference in Paris with French counterpart Catherine Colonna.
    "The migration issue must be tackled at the European level and given the instability in Africa we believe that the UN must also intervene through the IOM (International Organization for Migration) and the UNHCR. With France we can contribute to a European solution". (ANSA).
