(ANSA) - GORIZIA, 22 LUG - There will be 344 stands,
representing over 30 countries, which will make up the globe of
flavors of Gusti di Frontiera 2023, selected in the face of 405
applications for participation, a good 60 more than last year.
This is the outcome of the work carried out by the municipal
commission of Gorizia for the evaluation of expressions of
interest, a fundamental prerequisite in view of the food and
wine festival, scheduled from Thursday 21 to Sunday 24
September.
The formula for dividing the city center into geographical
villages is confirmed: there will be 14, with the addition of
the institutional part between Piazza Cavour and the municipal
park. The latter will be one of the novelties of the eighteenth
edition of the event.
Ample space will be reserved for Slow Food presidia, which
enjoyed great success last year and which will find a home in
the institutional area hosted by the Municipal Park. A leading
role will also be played by products with the Io sono FVG brand,
a certificate of the sustainability of regional businesses and
the genuineness of agro-food products, located in Piazza
Municipio.
"We intend to enhance the presence of stands offering local and
regional excellence in view of 2025, when we will be the
European Capital of Culture together with Nova Gorica - assured
the mayor Rodolfo Ziberna -. The area that was set up in Piazza
Sant'Antonio last year worked very well, beyond expectations,
confirming that this is the right path". (ANSA).
