(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 19 LUG - Fifty musicians under 30 from all
over Italy will be the protagonists of the international tour of
the youth orchestra Filarmonici Friulani. A month-long journey
that will take the ensemble to perform from July 27 for nine
evenings at the Young opera festival in Weikersheim Castle in
Germany in Donizetti's "Elisir d'amore" under the baton of
maestro Fausto Nardi. This will be followed by four Italian
Suite symphony concerts, under the baton of maestro Ferdinando
Sulla, at the Tauber Philharmonie in Weikersheim (Aug. 6), in
Gemonaplatz in Velden am Wörther See in Austria (Aug. 8), in the
parish of San Giovanni Bosco in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Aug. 9) and
in the church of San Francesco in Udine (Aug. 10).
This is the first time, a statement explains, that the
Friulian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra has opened its doors to
musicians from all over Italy. FVG President Massimiliano
Fedriga underlined that the initiative "combines culture and
promotion of the territory both nationally and abroad. Our land
is rich in excellence, including in the artistic field, and the
OFF tour, on the one hand, allows artists from all over Italy to
discover them and, on the other, fosters those interactions,
particularly among young talents, that are key to the growth and
development of the cultural and creative industry."
The FVG Region with PromoturismoFvg supports the tour. The OFF
was founded in 2015 and, in just a few years, has involved more
than 250 instrumentalists between the ages of 18 and 35,
offering opportunities for work and cultural growth in the
region in more than 200 events. (ANSA).
