Montenegro denied former Serbian ambassador to enter

Serbian FM Ivica Dacic considers it a huge scandal

27 August, 14:00

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 27 AGO - The Belgrade leadership protested that the Montenegrin authorities decided not to allow former Serbian ambassador to Podgorica Vladimir Bozovic to enter the country. Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic called this a huge scandal which demonstrates Montenegro's unwillingness to normalize relations with Serbia. Bozovic was denied entry to Montenegro at the Rance border crossing, despite the Montenegrin Interior Ministry announcing the lifting of the restrictive measure imposed against the former ambassador. The reasons for the ban were not given. Bozovic had been expelled from Montenegro in November 2020 at the height of a deep political and diplomatic crisis with Serbia, which had also revoked the approval of the Montenegrin ambassador.
