Kosovo, 130 more military personnel in Kfor from Romania

To strengthen NATO force given the current tensions in the north

14 October, 17:09

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 14 OTT - Romania has sent 130 more military personnel to reinforce its contingent in the NATO force in Kosovo (Kfor). Breaking the news, Serbian media - quoting the Defense Ministry in Bucharest - report that this increases the number of Romanian soldiers in Kosovo to 210.
At the same time, Romania counts 270 soldiers in the European Force Eufor in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Other countries, including Britain, Turkey, and Slovenia, have similarly reinforced their contingents framed in Kfor given the resumption of inter-ethnic tensions in Kosovo following the September 24 armed clashes in Banjska, northern Kosovo. (ANSA).
