(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCT 11 - Germany's inflation rate, as measured by the year-on-year change in the consumer price index (CPI), recorded a decrease to +4.5% in September 2023. This follows elevated rates of +6.1% in August and +6.2% in July.
Ruth Brand, President of the Federal Statistical Office, noted that while the rate has decreased, it remains high. She stated, "The rate of inflation has dropped to the lowest level since the start of the war in Ukraine. It remains high, however." Brand also highlighted that consumers continue to be affected by rising food prices. (ANSA).
