A man whose body was found in a
northern Italian wood on May 2 has been identified by the
tattoos on his body, judicial sources said Friday.
A friend has reportedly said the tats belonged to Andrea
Girardi, a 44-year-old originally from Villadose near Rovigo.
The body was found in the woods at Molina di Fiemme, in
Trentino, next to a notebook announcing a diet last July and
whose last entry, in October, said "cremate me".
The man had been living in a makeshift hut in the woods.
DNA comparison tests are now being carried out.
