The bodies of two mountaineers were
found on Tuesday at an altitude of around 3,100 metres above sea
level on the Italian side of the Matterhorn (Monte Cervino).
They are thought to have died in a fall of around 400 metres.
The deceased are thought to be Swiss nationals.
The alarm was raised by the Swiss authorities on Monday after
the two people failed to return from an outing.
