The driver of a tourist bus died
after it plunged into a river near the Italian-French border at
the weekend, while the three northern European tourists were
rescued.
The driver, 71, died at Evancon, in the Val d'Ayas.
Police are trying to establish whether he died in the crash or
because of a heart attack that caused him to lose control of the
vehicle.
Val d'Aosta police and forensic experts are investigating.
The bus broke through a barrier surrounding a bridge before
falling into the river.
The accident happened in the Champoluc area near Monte Rosa.
